Meshew Selected for NSCAA 30 Under 30 Program

KANSAS CITY - More than 350 applicants vied for a position as the next great soccer coach, submitting their credentials for the NSCAA 30 Under 30 program. The Association announced the 15 men and 15 women who will participate in the inaugural edition of the program and Southwestern Assistant Women's Soccer Coach Jamie Meshew was among those earning a spot.

Launched earlier this summer, 30 Under 30 is a year-long education and mentorship opportunity for a select few up-and-comers who have made soccer coaching their career of choice. This program was created to support coaches and foster growth at a crucial point in their vocation.

Meshew has been playing soccer since the age of five and at all levels including as part of the Olympic Development Program. She played one season on the varsity women's soccer team at Vanderbilt after three seasons on the club team and saw action in the United World Games.

Meshew began coaching at Belmont University for one season before spending four seasons in the Tennessee Futbol Club out of Nashville, Tenn. and six years with the Coastal Georgia Soccer Association in Savannah, Ga. She joined the Southwestern staff in the fall of 2012, overseeing the goalkeepers.

The NSCAA would like to congratulate the participants on their selection into the program and thank everyone who applied! Visit the 30 Under 30 program homepage for more information.
