Southwestern tops Birmingham-Southern 23-15

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Southwestern used a steady stream of offense to defeat the Panthers 23-15 Sunday afternoon.

SU jumped out to a 7-2 lead after Ronnie Winter's third goal in the first 10 minutes of action. By halftime, the Pirates' lead was just two 11-9.

Southwestern scored three straight to open the second half and kick off an 11-3 run to take a commanding 22-12 lead that would hold up until the final horn.

Kate Davis and Kaitlyn Campbell posted six goals each in the win while Winter added four. Christina Rosendahl recorded 10 draw controls.

Southwestern improves to 5-8 on the season and return home for the final time this season, hosting Pacific on Thursday at 6 pm.
