Huge first half launches Pirates to 18-5 win over Dallas

IRVING, Texas – Southwestern outscored the Crusaders 11-3 in the first half and just kept piling it on to take their first road win of the season.

Allison Cook started SU off on the right foot with a free position goal less than a minute into the contest. Ronni Winter led the Pirates' attack with five goals on six shots while Brenna Jobb and Kate Davis both posted three goals. Johnee Wolter led Southwestern with five assists.

Defensively, Jordan Little recorded three saves and Christina Rosendahl logged three caused turnovers.

Southwestern improves to 2-1 on the year and return home to kick off a four game home stand beginning with Wittenberg on Tuesday, March 7th at 4 pm.
