Kayla Tate is in her second year at Southwestern University. This semester she is studying abroad in London, and she will be writing a blog for SouthwesternPirates.com to give you an inside look at her experience. Below is her first post.
Hey Pirates! Since this is my first post, I'd like to start off by introducing myself. My name is Kayla Tate. I am a sophomore from Austin and I am a member of the women's lacrosse team. Another important thing you should know about me is that it has been my dream to travel the world for as long as I can remember. This semester, I have the incredible opportunity to study abroad through Southwestern's London Program, and I could not be more excited! I am currently on my flight to the UK, and it's only just now starting to set in that I am finally turning my travel dreams into a reality. The flight tracker says that there are only 36 minutes left until we land, and if I look out my window I can actually see England. I can't wait to get off the plane and officially get this adventure started!
