The 2015 season came to an end for the Southwestern women's lacrosse team as they fell 16-8 to Pacific in Oregon Sunday.
Pacific opened the game with two goals and the Pirates quickly answered with two of their own to tie the game 2-2 in the first five minutes. Pacific, however, went on a scoring spree with nine goals in the remainder of the first half to send Southwestern into the break trailing 11-3.
The Boxers added one more to start the second half and never allowed the Pirates back in the game as SU fell 16-8.
Allison Schmitt and Kate Davis led the charge offensively with three goals each while Allison Cook posted three assists. SU trailed 27-17 in shots and 25-15 in ground balls while going just 3-5 in free position shots.
Southwestern closes the season with a 7-8 overall record.
