AUSTIN, Texas -- Women's golf finished second in the Linda Lowery Invitational, with a total score of 701 points in the final par on Tuesday afternoon.
The Pirates led Hardin-Simmons, Concordia Texas and Howard Payne with of 61 pars and totaling eight birdies as a team.
Finishing in second place for individuals, Leilani McDaniel led the Pirates by scoring 81-82-163 (+11) with two birdies and had the most pars out of anyone totaling 17 par. Mikayla Miller, who tied in eighth place, scored 90-93-183 (+22) with one birdie and 12 par.
Julia Wofford finished in 11th place for the Pirates, scoring 96-90-186 (+19) with three birdies and six par, followed by Katherine Dyo who finished in 13th place with 92-97-189 (+26) and had one birdie and 13 par.
Up next, the Pirates will travel to Jekyll Island, Georgia, to play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational March 14-17.
