Pirates Lead the Pack in First Day at Linda Lowery Invite

AUSTIN, Texas – Southwestern women's golf held first place in the Linda Lowery Invitational on Monday with Emily Campbell sitting in first place on the individual leader boards, followed by Leilani McDaniel who led in third. 

Campbell scored a total of 76 points in individuals with McDaniel scoring 81 points, just one short of Ashley Riemitis from Hardin Simmons who came out in second place. 

Southwestern's Mikayla Miller also placed in the top 10 with a score of 90 points, putting her in eighth place for the Pirates. Katherine Dyo tied for tenth place with a score of 92 points and Julia Wofford tied for 15th with a score of 96 points. 

With only five Southwestern women golfers, the Pirates were able to score a total of 339 after the first day, earning them first place in the tournament. Concordia followed with 350 points, placing them in second, with Hardin Simmons scoring 360 and Howard Payne with 395 to grab third and fourth. 

The Pirates will continue the tournament on Tuesday starting at 8 a.m. from River Place Country Club.
