SANDESTIN, Fla. – The Southwestern University Pirates women's golf team competed in the prestigious Golfweek Fall Invitational from Oct. 14-16 at the Baytowne Golf Course.
Playing against other nationally ranked opponents, the No. 12 Pirates improved each round, hitting 347, 342, and 330 to finish 18th with a score of 1019.
Valentina Olivieri led the Pirates with a score of 247, posting a best of 77 in the third round to tie for 54th and Leilani McDaniel posted a score of 82 in each of the first two rounds and 84 in the third to finish 61st.
Rhodes College won the even with a 920 score, hitting 317, 300, and 303.
The Pirates will finish their fall schedule in Abilene, Texas for the Hardin-Simmons Abilene Invitational from Oct. 21-23.
