LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Valentina Olivieri, a freshman from Asuncion, Paraguay, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through Tuesday, March 7th.

Olivieri led wire to wire at the Schreiner Spring Shootout this week, finishing with a 36-hole score of 154 (+10), just one shot ahead of teammate Leilani McDaniel. The Pirates finished the event tied for second place, but lost the scorecard playoff to Schreiner.

Olivieri recorded her first career tournament win at this event, with her previous best performance coming at the Abilene Intercollegiate where she finished in seventh place. Her score of 75 in the

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Shelby DeVore of Trinity University finished in third place to lead the Tigers at the Schreiner Shootout, carding a 156 (+12). Kaycee Bankert of Schreiner University tied for fourth place at the tournament, posting a score of 158 (+14). Summer Swift of Texas Lutheran University posted identical rounds of 82 to earn a 17th place finish at the Schreiner Shootout this week.
