Women's golf tied for third after one round

After 18 holes in Kerrville, Southwestern sits tied for third place with 250 strokes, two strokes out of second. 

Bernice Leonard and Keeley Coburn had great first rounds, each posting a nine-over-par 81 to end the day tied for third overall. Trinity's Shelby DeVore led all golders with an opening round 79.

Lauren Boone shot a 45-44 to end tied for 16th and Jenny Smith ended the day with a 99 to finish tied for 34th. 

SU had one more round of play to make up ground. Play resumes Tuesday morning at The Club at Comanche Trace in Kerrville.
