Carraway highlights All-SCAC selections for Pirates

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In exclusive voting by the head coaches of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), junior forward Tori Carraway earned an All-SCAC First Team nod while four Pirates were Honorable Mention selections. Complete Release

Carraway averaged 9.7 points per game while shooting 46.3% from the field and 60.7% from the free throw line and was fourth overall in the conference in rebounds per game at 7.6. Carraway averaged over one steal per game and nearly one assist per game as well.

Sophmore Zhazze Brown, senior Madison Edwards, first-year Noel Pratts and sophomore Cecily Woolfolk earned a spot on the All-SCAC Honorable Mention list. Brown averaged eight points and 2.6 rebounds per game while Madison Edwards chipped in 7.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. Pratts averaged eight points per game and was just under one steal per game in her first season with the Pirates. Woolfolk led the team in scoring with 12.4 points per game while shooting 43.4% from the field. She also averaged 7.3 rebounds per game, fifth in the conference behind Carraway. 

Southwestern closed the season at 14-14 overall after making an impressive run in the SCAC Championship as the #3 seed. The Pirates fell to Trinity 80-74 in the championship game.
