Southwestern Basketball Programs Announce Camp Dates

GEORGETOWN, Texas - Both Men's & Women's Basketball programs at Southwestern University have announced their 2017-18 camp dates.

"This camp is a great opportunity for prospective students to see our excellent campus and athletic facilities," said Men's Basketball Head Coach Janson Hightower.  "They will also gain an idea what it is like to be a student-athlete at Southwestern University from participating in drills, games and speaking to current Pirate players."

The Men's Basketball Prospect Camp is for students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades and will be held in the Robertson Center on September 16th and run from 9 am until 3 pm. Campers will receive instruction from Coach Hightower and SU Assistant Coaches Zac Graham and Chris Herbert.

Men's Basketball Camp Schedule

• 9:00AM - 9:30AM Check in and warm up (Robertson Center)

• 9:30AM - 12:00PM On Court Session (Robertson Center)

• 12:00PM -12:45PM Lunch and Student-Athlete Panel in SU Cafeteria (McCombs Center)

• 12:45PM - 1:15PM Athletic Facilities Tour

• 1:15PM - 1:45PM Admissions Information Session (Robertson Court)

• 1:45PM - 2:45PM Campus Tour

• 2:45PM - 3:00PM Closing

Upon request campers and their families will be given complimentary tickets to the Pirates and East Texas Baptist football game at Birkelbach Field at 7 p.m.

The Women's Basketball Elite Camp is also for students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades and will take place at the Robertson Center on Saturday September 16th. A one day camp conducted by the Southwestern University coaching staff and players that will give rising sophomores, juniors and seniors the opportunity to replicate the collegiate athlete experience. Off-court activities will include a campus tour and admissions discussion that will help prepare participants for the college recruiting and admissions process. Registration will include lunch and a t-shirt for participants. Following camp, we are inviting you to join us for a tailgate party and an exciting SU Football game vs. East Texas Baptist.
