Women’s basketball drops critical home contest 69-55 to Schreiner

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern dropped their SCAC contest 69-55 to Schreiner as the Pirates fight for the last playoff spot.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Schreiner started strong and took an early lead that lasted throughout the first as Southwestern trailed 14-12.
  • By halftime Schreiner had extended their lead to six, 30-24.
  • Despite runs in the second half Southwestern was unable to get the big stop they needed defensively as the Mountaineers stayed just out of reach until the final horn.
