Senior night is special for everyone, but this season the Southwestern women witnessed history being made as Annie Bourne, in her final home game, became the all-time career rebounding leader in SCAC history. 

With 12 rebounds Annie Bourne moved atop the SCAC in career rebounds with 1090 for her career at the time and ended with 1178. Bourne averaged 12.7 rebounds per game in her final season and 11.2 for her career. 

Katy Williams who played at Austin College from 2006-2010 was the previous record holder with 1083 career rebounds.

Southwestern had an outstanding conference season, ending the regular season as tri-champions with Trinity and Texas Lutheran and went on to win the SCAC Championship, defeating Trinity in the Championship game 71-58. 

With the win SU earned the automatic bid to the NCAA National Championship for the first time since 1997-98. The Pirates took on UT Tyler in Richardson, Texas and fell 75-47 to end the year at 15-13 overall.
