GEORGETOWN, Texas - John Hattan has been named the first SCAC Men's Runner of the Week for the Southwestern cross country team.

Hattan, a senior from Georgetown, Texas, was selected based off of his performance at the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday, Sept 15th.

Hattan ran a 26:50 on a true 8k course finishing sixth among Division III runners and 17th overall. Running at one of his fastest times of the season, he led Pirates to a ninth-place finish in a field of 21 on a course that was mostly grass with some long uphill runs.

The next meet for the Pirates will take place in San Antonio at the University of Incarnate Word Oct. 6.
