SEGUIN, Texas - The Southwestern University women's cross country team placed fifth at the SCAC Championships with a total of 138 points on Saturday morning at the TLU Intramural Field.
Trinity took home the title with 21 total point followed closely by Colorado College in second with 34 points. Texas Lutheran was third with 104 points followed by Austin College with 116 points.
Freshman Sofia Garcia placed 18th to lead the Bucs, finishing with a time of 23:36.8. Junior Trinh Ha was close behind in 23rd with a time of 25:15.8. Junior Morgan Forteith was 31st at 26:52.0 followed closely by junior Katie Harris who placed 32nd at 27:16.7.
Freshman Kate Killian checked in at 34th with a time of 27:34.8 while senior Veronica Pardo finished sixth with a time of 28:39.9.
Southwestern will take two weeks off before returning to action on November 11th as they will compete at the South/Southeast Regional Championships in Newport News, Va.
