Im Continues to Shine as Pirates Place Sixth at Saints Invite

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Sophomore Joshua Im continues his terrific season as he was the top runner among Division III teams as the Southwestern University men's cross country team placed sixth with 129 points at the Saints Invite at Windcrest Golf Club.

Hardin-Simmons placed first with 69 total points followed OLLU with 71. Jacksonville College was third with 84 points followed by Texas Lutheran and McMurray with 86 and 109 polnts, respectively.

Im placed seventh overall with all divison and unattached runners with a time of 27:52.5 in the 8k event. Freshman Will Lord placed 22nd with a time of 28:53.3 followed by freshman Miles Griffin with a time of 29:43.0 in 33rd.

Junior Austin Morrison had a time of 30:38.8 while junior Luke Ford and sophomore Fred Banuelos rounded out the Pirates with times of 31:18.3 and 34:55.3, respectively.

The Pirates will take a week off and return to action on October 7th as they will head to Marshall, Texas to compete in the East Texas Baptist Invitational in Marshall.
