SU Men Earn Third Place Finish at TLU Collegiate Invite; Im Places Third Overall

SEGUIN, Texas - The Southwestern University men's cross country team took home a third place finish with 100 points on Saturday morning at the TLU Collegiate Invite in Seguin. 

St. Edward's won the even with 20 points followed by Texas Lutheran with 52 points. Concordia (TX) finished behind the Pirates with 120 points while Sul Ross State rounded out the collegiate top five with 149 points.

Sophomore Joshua Im was terrific in the early morning, taking home a third place finish with a time of 16:57, good for 5:27 pace. Freshman Miles Griffin finished second for the Pirates, earning a 17th place finish with a time of 18:05.

Juniors Austin Morrison and Luke Ford went 25th and 27th with times of 18:42 and 18:54, respectively. Junior Josh Hattan finished with a time of 19:01 while sophomore Fred Banuelos rounded the group out with a time of 21:47.

Southwestern will return to action next weekend as they will travel to Windcrest, Texas to compete in the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational at 8:00 AM.
