LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Sam Martinez, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, September 22.

Martinez won the Concordia (Texas)-Southwestern Dual Meet on Saturday. Martinez led from start to finish and completed the 4 mile course in 21:40.

Martinez's nearest competitor was more than a minute back.

Southwestern has the weekend off before returning to action on October 6th, running in the University of Incarnate Word Cross Country Invitational.
