Men's track & field places fourth at SCAC Championship

SAN ANTONIO - The Southwestern men's track & field team finished fourth at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday.

The Pirates tallied 40 points over the two-day event.

Southwestern earned 12 of its 40 points in the relay events. The Bucs finished third in both the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays, posting season bests in both races.

Tyler Adams finished as the high scorer for SU at the meet. The junior tallied nine points in three throwing events. He finished third in the hammer throw, fifth in the discus throw and sixth in the shot put.

Gregory McDade added six points from a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash. He posted a personal record with a time of 50.10 seconds.
