Hattan paces Southwestern at McMurry Open

ABILENE, Texas - John Hattan won the 3,000-meter steeplechase to lead the Southwestern men's track & field team at the McMurry Open on Thursday.

Hattan won the event by nearly 20 seconds with a mark of 10:13.24.

The Pirates finished in ninth place overall.

Additionally, Southwestern's 4x100-meter relay team placed third.

The Pirates will compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on April 28 in San Antonio.
