Adams tabbed SCAC Field Athlete of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University junior Tyler Adams was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Adams, a junior from Olden, finished runner-up in the hammer throw at last week's Trinity Tiger Invitational in San Antonio. His toss of 152-5 (46.47m) set a program record and marked the fourth-longest toss in conference history.

The Southwestern men's track & field team will continue its season Friday at the UIW Cardinal Invitational in San Antonio.
