LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University first-year Craig Heiser III was picked as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Heiser won the high jump at last week's War Hawk Classic in Abilene. He crossed the bar at 1.95m, which is the second-highest leap by any SCAC men's athlete this spring. It also ranks at the 22nd best mark in Division III this season.

The Pirates will return to action Friday, as they travel to San Antonio to compete in the Trinity Tiger Invitational.
