ABILENE, Texas – The Southwestern University men's track & field team continued its outdoor season on Friday at the McMurry War Hawk Invitational.

The Pirates registered nine top-10 finishes at the meet.

Gregory McDade placed eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.19. Ryan Pace also turned in an eighth-place finish in the 110m hurdles, crossing the line with a mark of 16.96.

Southwestern placed 6-10 in the 10,000 meters. Ulises Castaneda led the group with a sixth-place finish and a time of 37:58.27.

The Pirates will return to action on Friday, April 1, at the Trinity Tiger Invitational in San Antonio.
