Tuttle, Taylor Earn SCAC Athlete-of-the-Week Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - For the second time this season, the Southwestern men have swept the SCAC Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week awards. 

DANIEL TUTTLE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Georgetown, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Track Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted through from Monday, March 25 through Sunday, March 31.

Tuttle placed third overall and was the first collegiate athlete to finish in the 110 hurdles at the Trinity Relays this past Friday. He was competing against NCAA D-I-II-III club and unattached athletes. His time of 15.08 places him on top of the SCAC leaderboard.

Tuttle also placed fourth overall in the 400 hurdles, running a time of 55.11 while breaking the SU record and placing him on top of the SCAC leaderboard. He was the second collegiate finisher behind an NCAA D-I athlete from UTSA.

Tuttle also helped the Pirates 4x100 and 4x400 relays to season-best time in both events.

CODY TAYLOR OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Medina, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted from Monday, March 25 through Sunday, March 31.

Taylor vaulted a personal best of 4.25m, breaking the SU record and placing him on top of the SCAC leaderboard in the Pole Vault at the Trinity University Relays this past weekend.

He placed first among NCAA D-III competitors in the vault at the event.
