GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Southwestern University Pirates men's tennis team swept the Texas Lutheran University 9-0 for their second home victory in as many days.

With Alexis Dimanche taking a break from doubles, Carlos Esteban Rodero and Hunter Bajoit got a turn in the No. 1 spot, defeating Alex Talley and Jacob Galindo 8-1. Dean Dulthummon and Alexander Joseph reprised their teamwork from earlier this season, defeating Mario Martinez and Jared Mason 8-2 in the No. 2 position and Alonso Fernandez and Vesko Lekovic completed the doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory over Nick Roccaforte and Johari Dramiga.

"It was nice to see us get another sweep and it all started with the way Carlos and Hunter served at No. 1, which was exceptionally well," Head Coach Billy Porter said.

Dimanche took care of business in singles, defeating Martinez in straight sets and Bajoit and Rodero followed suit in the No. 2 and 3 positions. Max Pearson picked up shutout victory in the fourth spot, Fernandez defeated Galindo with a pair of 6-1 sets and Tyler Norman made his reappearance in the lineup for a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the sixth spot.

"Tyler Norman returned at a high level against a big server and played smart, sound tennis," Porter said. "I'm hoping the weather holds for tomorrow but if it doesn't then for Alonso, our lone senior, to get two wins on his final home match is a perfect ending."

With the victory, the Pirates improve to 12-4 this season.
