Men's Tennis Drops Neutral Site Match-Up to Millsaps

RICHARDSON, Texas - The 36th-ranked Southwestern University men's tennis team fell to the Millsaps Majors in a neutral site contest on Saturday afternoon in Richardson by the score of 6-3.

It was a tough start for the Pirates as the dropped the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles point to go down 2-0; however, the team of sophomores Jeremy Wilson and Dean Dulthummon earned a huge point, winning 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.

Sophomore Tyler Norman earned a nice win at No. 4 singles, winning a three set match 3-6, 6-4, 10-4. In No. 6 singles, with the match already decided, junior Alonso Fernandez salvaged a point for SU, earning a 6-3, 6-4 win.

The Pirates will return home on Tuesday, and for the third time this season, attempt to take on Concordia (TX) with first serve scheduled for 5 PM.
