No. 34 Southwestern takes two road tilts on Saturday

LONGVIEW, Texas - The 34th-ranked Southwestern men's tennis team racked up two 9-0 wins on Saturday. The Pirates swept East Texas Baptist before blanking LeTourneau to close out the day.

Southwestern captured all 12 of its singles matchups in straight sets. The Pirates also did not surrender a game in seven of 24 sets.

Haluki Nakayama won three of his four sets by 6-0 scores, including a double-bagel performance in the nightcap.

Grant Gideon and Nickoloz Snovely won both of their doubles matches at the top spot, pushing the duo's win streak to 10.

Additionally, Alexis Dimanche earned two wins at the second singles position. The reigning SCAC Player of the Week has won his last seven singles tilts.

Southwestern will host Austin College on Friday, April 7. First serve is slated for 6 p.m.
