GEORGETOWN, Texas - The 39th-ranked Southwestern men's tennis team suffered its third straight loss to a ranked team, as No. 19 Gustavus Adolphus posted a 6-3 win over the Pirates Wednesday at the Marvin D. Henderson Sr. Tennis Courts.
Southwestern (10-5) took one of three doubles tilts and managed only two wins in singles competition.
The Pirates picked up a point at the top doubles position, as Nickoloz Snovely and Grant Gideon logged an 8-4 win.
Alexis Dimanche continued his strong spring season on the singles courts, winning at the second position, 6-4, 3-6 and 6-3. Dean Dulthummon rallied from a set down at the fourth spot to net a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory.
The Pirates will hit the road to face both East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau on April 1.
