Dimanche named SCAC Player of the Week for third time

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University first-year Alexis Dimanche was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Dimanche, who also earned the honor on Feb. 7 and March 14, logged a 6-2 record overall last week. He was 4-0 at the second singles spot, while he and classmate Austin Moninger netted a 2-2 record at No. 2 doubles.

The Mouans-Sartoux, France, native leads the Pirates with a 12-1 record in singles action.

Dimanche and the rest of the Southwestern squad will return to action Wednesday against No. 19 Gustavus Adolphus. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Marvin D. Henderson Sr. Tennis Courts in Georgetown.
