2013-14

Grass appeared in 13 matches for the Pirates in the middle of the lineup. During stiff competition, Grass finished the year 4-9 in singles including a 2-0 mark at No. 4 singles. He teamed with Niko Snovely at No. 1 doubles to post an 8-5 record.

2012-13

Grass won his only double match of the season.

High School

Grass was Player-of-the-Year his junior year and earned the Fighting Heart Award the same season. He was an Honorable Mention selection for mixed doubles and boy’s doubles in 2011 and earned Player-of-the-Year honors again his senior season.

Derek is the son of Roger and LaDonna and has two siblings; Laura and Emily.
