At No. 8 on our list of the Top 10 Memorable moments from 2013-14 is the incredible season posted by first-year men's tennis standout, Niko Snovely.
Snovely posted an impressive 12-1 record at No. 1 singles with his only loss coming against the No. 6 team in country, UT-Tyler. After the lone blimish on his record the rookie, rallied to win his final nine matches of the season.
The Austin native burst onto the scene and winning his first match against NCAA II Dallas Baptist winning, 6-3, 6-4 in early January. He also grabbed impressive three set victories on the road against LeTourneau and Mary Hardin-Baylor.
He also helped post a 10-5 record at No. 1 doubles during the season with Egan Cornachione, Derek Grass and Alex Wong. Snovely was also tabbed to the All-SCAC First Team after helping the Pirates post an 8-8 record on the year, the most wins for a Pirate men's team since the 2005-06 season.
