TOUGH ROAD MATCHES TRIP UP PIRATES IN SCAC ACTION

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southwestern men's tennis team closed out SCAC regular season action this weekend with four matches in Birmingham, Ala. With the losses the Pirates fall to 3-11 on the season and 2-4 in the conference.

Southwestern opened up competition over the weekend with a tough match against Birmingham Southern. The Pirates were unable to win a match as they fell 9-0 to the Panthers. Day one action continued and Southwestern fared better against Millsaps, but were bested 6-3.

Centre was next on board for SU in day two and despite starting off strong the Pirates fell once again, this time 7-2. In thier final match of the weekend, against Oglethorpe, Southwestern dropped the contest 7-2.

Southwestern hosts the University of Texas at Dallas on April 17th at 10:00 am for their final home match of the season. The event will serve as a final practice before they head to the SCAC Championships on April 17th.
