MIDLAND, Texas -- In a final tune-up meet before the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships, the Southwestern University Pirates men's swimming and diving team lost to UT-Permian Basin 144.5-81.5.
The Pirates started the even with a second-place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with Carl-Ake Willberg, Dylan Neumann, Keith Gill, and Peter Robinson finishing with a time of 1:37.44.
Matthew Oeverman won the 1,000 Yard Freestyle, clocking in at 10:09.93, winning by four seconds. Dyland Neumann took second in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:47.22) and Connor Moland placed first in the 200 Yard IM (2:00.41).
Southwestern took the top two spots in the 100 Yard Butterfly, led by Keith Gill (52.89), followed by Neumann (54.19). Peter Robinson finished first in the 500 Yard Freestyle (4:52.80).
Matthew Credeur finished second in the one-meter dive with a score of 106.58.
The Pirates finished with a second-place finish in the 800 Yard Freestyle with Gill, Todd Coachman, Moland, and Oevermann finishing with a time of 7:16.70.
Southwestern will compete in the SCAC Championship from Feb. 13-16 at Palo Alto College in San Antonio, Texas.
