Gill Earns SCAC Swimmer of the Week for a Second Time

Lawrenceville, Georgia - Southwestern swimmer Keith Gill, a sophomore from Spring, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance the week of Monday, November 12 through Sunday, November 18.

Competing at the Trinity Invitational, Gill won the 100 free, breaking the school record with a time of 45.61. He finished fourth in both the 200 free (1:42.51) and the 50 free (21.14). In the 200 medley relay, his anchor split was 20.22, and in the 400 free relay, the freshman split 44.82. Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:

Freshman Daniel Sarman of Trinity put up several standout performances in this weekend's Trinity Invitational, setting new career-best marks. He won the 200 free and was part of the winning 400 free relay team, as well as earning third in the 200 IM. He had a 21.68 leadoff in the 200 free relay for the Tigers, as well as a 50.77 fly split in the 400 medley relay that finished as the top D-III team. His time of 1:53.51 in the 200 IM was just off the school record, and he had a solid 1:40.93 time in the 200 free as well. Sarman went 1:53.85 in the 200 back and his leadoff time of 47.01 paced Trinity to the win in the 400 free relay.
