Southwestern Drops Meet with Loyola, Birmingham-Southern

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Southwestern University men's swimming fell to Loyola and Birmingham-Southern throughout Friday and Saturday at the University Sports Complex on the campus of Loyola University (La.).

Loyola defeated the men 172-127 while Birmingham-Southern took a 238-75 win.

Freshman Alek Argueta won the 100 breast with a time of 1:00.80 and followed that up with a second place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:15.08. Junior Peter Robinson was second in the 200 free at 1:46.34 and third in the 200 back at 2:00.46. Freshman Caleb Liles placed second in the 200 fly at 2:06.81.

Southwestern will return to action on November 4th as they will compete in their annual Black & Gold Intrasquad beginning at 10 AM.
