2010-11
Montes came in 13th place in the 1650 free at the SCAC Championships with a time of 17:31.58 and was a part of the 400 free relay team that shaved seven seconds off their time to finish in 3:18.52 and in seventh place. He was also a member of the 200 free relay team that finished in seventh place at the SCAC Championships with a time of 1:41.31. Montes also scored one point for the Pirates in the 200 free with a time of 1:51.02.
High School
Stephen is a 2009 graduate of Nolan Catholic High School in Ft. Worth, TX. Stephen is a four time All-State selection for TAPPS and TISCA in the 200 and 500 freestyle. Stephen was also a 2008 and 2009 member of the Academic All-State swim team.
Personal
Stephen is the son of Louis and Teresa and has one brother, Andrew. Stephen is a double major in economics and accounting at SU.
