Jackson Krueger Named SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Southwestern University Pirates men's soccer goalie Jackson Krueger was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Defensive Player of the Week for Week 3 for his performance against Texas Lutheran University.

From the SCAC

"Krueger stood tall in net for the Pirates, making four big saves and interrupting several other opportunities in Southwestern's 2-1 overtime victory against Texas Lutheran last Friday night. Krueger has been outstanding to this point in the season currently sitting in the top five of several statistical categories including first in goals allowed (2) and second in goals-against average (0.98)."

Krueger is the second Pirate to win Player of the Week honors this season, following Garrison Van Houten's Offensive Player of the Week award last week.

The Pirates will host Johnson & Wales University on Friday, Sep. 20 at 8:00 p.m. and Colorado College on Sunday, Sep. 22 at 12:00 p.m.
