Lawrenceville, Georgia - Sophomore Andrew Hernandez, a midfielder from Allen, Texas was selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for match es played the week of Monday, October 22nd to Sunday, October 28th.
Hernandez had the game-winning overtime goal in the 2-1 victory over the University of Dallas, which helped the Pirates clinch the third seed in this weekend's SCAC championships. The goal was his third of the season with all three of his scores coming in conference play.
Hernandez game-winning goal helped the Pirates snag the third-place spot in the 2018 SCAC Men's Soccer Tournament. The Tournament will also be hosted at Southwestern's Varsity Field come this weekend on Nov. 2-4 where the Pirates will have their rematch against the Austin College Roo's on Friday, Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
