Men's Soccer Spring Play Date Set

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Southwestern men's soccer team's spring season is underway with their spring play date set for Saturday, April 21st. The Pirates will face Texas A&M at 10 am followed by UTSA at 2 pm.

A roster of 32 players with just two seniors will hit the pitch for Head Coach Don Gregory. Alex Newell and Jake Swonke are proudly serving as captains for the season.

Additionally, SU will take on some familiar faces as they host the "Old Boys" for the annual alumni game. The match is scheduled for April 28th at 2 pm on the Moses Field. Southwestern's men's soccer team has averaged 33 graduates returning for the match.

"A big thanks to Michael Knisley and Kevin Jordan for their tireless work to promote the game," said Coach Gregory.

Southwestern finished 6-12-3 last year, falling to the University of Dallas in the SCAC Semifinals after defeating Colorado College to keep the Tigers out of the NCAA Championship.
