Knight-Turcan's record-setting performance lifts Pirates to 25-7 win

ATLANTA, Ga. - Kai Knight-Turcan set a new SU record for goals in a game, posting 9 goals on 15 shots to lead the Pirates to a 25-7 win over Oglethorpe Wednesday.

Matt Amerie previously held the record, scoring eight goals at Millsaps earlier this year.

Southwestern scored six goals in the first and second quarters to lead by nine at halftime, 12-3.

Knight-Turcan blew the door open in the third quarter, scoring three straight to open the frame and kickoff a nine goal third.

The Pirates' defense was tough as Conrad Littlefield posted 12 saves on 19 shots while Sean Smith recorded a staggering 12 ground balls for another SU record.

Southwestern (7-5) brings their two game win streak home to host Calvin (1-3) on Wednesday evening at 7 pm.
