Montagne leads Pirates to 26-4 win with record-setting performance

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Senior Matthew Montagne exploded for 10 assists in Southwestern's home opener against the University of Dallas, setting a new Southwestern record for assists in a game and career assists.

Montagne's broke the previous record held by Carter Cowan set in 2011 also against Dallas and overtook Jamie Long (2010-13) for career assists with 68 thus far. Montagne added two goals on the night, tying him for most points in a single game (12) with Cowan.  

Southwestern's 26 goals was a single game record, eclipsing their previous total of 24, a feat they achieved five times.

The Pirates improve to 3-1 on the year and remain at home to face Alma College on Monday evening for "Black Out" night. Game time is set for 7 pm.
