Turnovers cost men’s lacrosse in first loss

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern committed 24 turnovers during their 11-3 loss to Rhodes College at home Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Rhodes jumped out to an early lead and held the Pirates scoreless through three quarters to lead 7-0 heading into the fourth quarter.
  • Four more Lynx goals put Rhodes up 11-0 with under eight minutes to play. Jared Welsh broke the shutout with his first collegiate goal and Matt Amerie and Kai Knight-Turcan added goals to arrive at the 11-3 final.
