ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon scored 11 unanswered first half goals en-route to an 18-1 men's lacrosse victory over the Pirates on Sunday afternoon.
Randolph-Macon scored two goals in the opening two minutes and added a steady barrage of goals to lead 11-0 at halftime and added four more goals in the third period to put Southwestenr down 15-0 through three.
Jamie Long (pictured) scored the lone goal for the Pirates to keep from being shutout.
The Jackets held a 46-9 edge in shots, a 35-10 advantage in the groundball battle, while Chris O'Quain recorded nine saves and Donnie Murray one in the cage.
Southwestern returns home to face Grand Canyon on Thursday, March 4rd at 3:00 pm.
