Cade Osgood Makes Big Move on Final Day of NCAA DIII Men's Golf Championship

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – Southwestern University Pirates men's golfer Cade Osgood made a big run up the standings, finishing the NCAA DIII Championship with his best round to finish in a three-way tie for sixth.

Starting on the 10th hole, Osgood hit his stride on No. 14, picking up three consecutive birdies, including on a 552-yard par-5. A bogey on the 18th hole put him two under through the first half of his day. He made up for it on the first hole with another birdie and picked up two more on the fourth and fifth. A double-bogey on the eighth set him back, finishing three under par for the day.

Osgood shot a 69 in Round 4, finishing with a score of 293, moving up from 22nd place. Williams College's Sam Goldenring finished first with a 285, finishing three under par. For the event, Osgood finished with the fourth most birdies with 16 and had one eagle.
