Men's Golf Lead in First Day of Linda Lowery Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – Southwestern men's golf scored a total of 598 to help place them in first this Monday in the Linda Lowery Invitational played at River Place Country Club.

Southwestern's Cade Osgood placed second in individuals shooting 78-69-147. Osgood was shy four points from UT- Tyler's Tyler Uhlig, who claimed first in individuals, shooting 73-69-142.

Matthew Christl (75-74-149), Sutherland Stith (72-78-150) and John Kellum (77-75-152)  placed sixth, tied-for-seventh and place ninth in individuals, making the Pirates the only team with four members in the top ten. Devon Horne would not be far behind shooting 82-81-163 for the Pirates. 

With the Pirates leading the tournament with 598 points, Concordia followed in second with 607 points. UT-Tyler scored 609, placing them in third, Concordia Texas "B" team with 619 points, Howard Payne with 639 points, Augustana with 683 points, Seminole State with 732 points and Johnson and Wales with 755 points. 

Men's golf will continue the final round of the Linda Lowery Invitational on Tuesday at River Place Country Club at 8 a.m.
