Southwestern men's golf falls three spots in latest Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll

Despite a strong outing in California, Southwestern fell three spots to #13 in the nation in the latest Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll out Friday, April 3rd. 

Oglethorpe received eight first-place votes to regain the top ranking in the Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll. The Stormy Petrols were ranked No. 1 in the first three polls of the season.
 
LaGrange earned two first-place votes and moved up five places to No. 2. Methodist, Redlands and Schreiner each tallied a first-place vote and sat in Nos. 3, 5 and 6, respectively. Illinois Wesleyan stayed at No. 4. Wittenberg checked in at seventh and was followed by former No. 1 UT Tyler - who fell seven spots - Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Central.
 
California Lutheran and Saint John's return to the ranking at Nos. 20 and 24, respectively. Huntingdon made its debut in a tie at No. 21.
The SCAC is well representated in the report with Schreiner earning a spot at #6, Texas Lutheran #16, and Trinity #17.
The Pirates host these three nationally ranked teams as well as #25 Concordia at next week's West Region Invitational that starts Monday morning at Berry Creek.
