Day Two Trips Up Pirates at TLU

SEGUIN, Texas - Southwestern entered day two in second place but hit a snag and ended the TLU Intercollegiate Invite in fourth place. Cameron Button had a strong outing, finishing in second place overall. 

Button opened the tournament with a one-over-par 73 and came in third place for the day. With a second round 76 he jumped up one spot to finish in second place overall at the event with 149 strokes. TLU's Chance Cathey won the event with 143 strokes (70-73). 

Jordan Cowart was the second highest finisher for the Pirates with 157 strokes (77-80) and came in tied for 13th while James Charles finished tied for 17th with 160 strokes (78-82). 

Cody Hebert shot an 81-85 to finish tied for 23rd and Joe Brandt rounded out SU's team score with an 86-82 and tied for 26th. 

Southwestern heads to California to compete in the West Cup beginning on March 24th.
