Four Southwestern Football Players Named To All-ASC Team

The American Southwest Conference (ASC) announced its all-conference football team, naming four Southwestern football team members among the honorees. 

Linebacker Ben Brockman highlighted the four Southwestern selections, earning All-ASC First Team honors. Brockman finished the season with 55 tackles, including 27 solo tackles with four total tackles for losses. He also broke up one pass and forced one fumble. 

Slotback Austin Castilleja earned All-ASC Second Team honors. In five games, Castilleja had 17 receptions for 220 yards, averaging 12.94 yards per reception with four receiving touchdowns. He also completed two passes in two attempts for 54 yards with one touchdown. 

Offensive lineman James Hill was a steady presence in the Pirates' lineup, starting all five games and earning All-ASC Third Team honors. Punter Wil Herbst also earned All-ASC Third Team honors, punting for 934 yards on 25 attempts with six punts inside the 20. 

Running back Brandon Jennings was named to the ASC Outstanding Sportsman of the Year.
