While in Italy, the Pirates will travel to see the Colosseum, ancient Rome, take a Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain walking tour and visit the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. The team also will tour Florence and Fiesole in the Tuscan Hills.

A visit to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello will be followed by an exhibition game on Sunday, May 21 at 10 a.m. (CT). The group also will take in Lido di Jesolo and a guided walking tour of Venice and visits to Milan and the breathtaking Lake Como before returning to Texas.

The Pirates are coming off a 2016 campaign that included a 7-3 record, including a 6-0 mark in conference play. Southwestern also captured the final SCAC championship.
